Climatic deviations always relate to a reference period that is assumed to be "normal". As it is well known that the weather and the weather conditions can change over a very short period of time and turn out slightly different every year, an average value over a longer period is necessary. A climatic average is therefore formed over a period of 30 years.
Different climatic periods are used depending on the perspective. The following figures show the average values of global temperatures, measured at a height of 2 meters, for the period 1981 to 2010.
